The Ferrari F12tdf is a limited edition high-performance sports car produced by the Italian manufacturer Ferrari in 2016 and 2017. The name "TDF" stands for "Tour de France", which was a famous endurance race that Ferrari dominated in the 1950s and 1960s. The F12 TDF is based on the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta but features significant updates to its engine, aerodynamics, and suspension to make it faster and more responsive. Its naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V12 engine produces 770 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque, making it one of the most powerful cars in Ferrari's lineup at the time. The car's exterior design is also heavily influenced by its racing heritage, with a more aggressive front splitter, a larger rear spoiler, and a redesigned rear diffuser to improve downforce and stability at high speeds. The F12 TDF also features a unique livery with stripes and graphics that pay tribute to the original Tour de France-winning Ferraris of the 1950s and 1960s. The F12 TDF is also lighter than the standard F12 Berlinetta, thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber and other lightweight materials in its construction. This, combined with the car's upgraded engine and aerodynamics, allows it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 211 mph. Only 799 examples of the F12 TDF were produced, making it a rare and highly sought-after collector's car among Ferrari enthusiasts. Ferrari also introduced the Virtual Short Wheelbase system for the first time in the F12 TDF, allowing movement from the wheels on the rear axle to combat under steer that would have been generated from thicker front tires.
